Sudeesh Yezhuvath – Artist

Hailing from Chittur town in Kerala’s Palakkad District, Sudeesh Yezhuvath is an engineer and IT entrepreneur. He is actively involved in socio-cultural activities and has been very interested in photography since 2005. His travel photo blog can be seen at www.yezhuvath.wordpress.com. Sudeesh is an avid reader and art lover, which has also helped develop his photography practice. He lives in Bangalore with his wife and son.

Dr. Jayaraj Sundaresan – Curator

Jayaraj Sundaresan is interested in understanding the powers of ordinary people in producing and dismantling totalitarian powers. He is a Human Geographer, Urbanist, and Architect.

Dr. Jayaraj has taught at London School of Economics and Political Science, University College London, Indian Institute for Human settlements and National Institute of Technology – Calicut. He lives between London and India.

Murali Cheeroth – Curator

Born in Thrissur, Kerala, Murali Cheeroth earned his MFA from Santinikethan, West Bengal. According to the artist, his working process is “a kind of extraction system that draws on concerns about frenzied urbanization, globalization and the visual/virtual stimulation therein, and transforms them into another reality to simplify their characteristics and relationships in order to build a new visual experience that is clear and vivid.”

Cheeroth has held several solo shows and participated in over 100 group shows across India. He has also been part of international shows, such as Emerging India, presented by Art Alive Gallery at the Royal College of Art, London, in 2007. Cheeroth has received many scholarships and awards, including the prestigious State Lalit Kala Akademi Award in 1997-98. He is based in Bangalore.
